One of Cumbria's most spectacular National Trust houses is now available to rent for an estimated £40,000 per year.

Derwent Island House is a grade 2 listed property that sits on a seven acre heart-shaped island, 150 yards from Derwent Water.

The house has seven bedrooms, a one-bedroom annexe, five reception rooms, a library and a dining room which can set 22 people.

The house is being managed by Carter Jonas, who say the new tenants can look an entry date in December.
