Teenager killed in cycling accident

A 15 year old cyclist has died after his bike hit a car in Carlisle. Matthew Hamilton was riding his bike with friends on Brunel Way at around 6pm on Sunday 2nd September when the collision happened. He suffered serious injuries and died a short time later at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The car involved was a green Renault Megane driven by a local man. Police are investigating the crash and are appealing for witnesses.
