The small fishing town of Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders has now been given the go ahead to receive cruise ships.

The first liner will visit the port of Eyemouth this summer. The MS Island Sky will anchor off Eyemouth on Sunday 19th August and tender passengers to the pontoon on the Middle Pier.

It's hoped the introduction of cruising vessels will give a welcomed economic boost to the town and surrounding areas.

The news has seen an air of excitement around the small fishing town.
