World's oldest car in the Scottish Borders
The world's oldest petrol-powered car is the highlight of a classic car show at Thirlestane Castle in Lauder.
The 1892 Panhard et Levassor has never been to Scotland before, but is the same model as the first motor vehicle ever to run in the Scottish Borders. The only older car still in working order is an 1884 one run on steam, which is owned by the same family.
The weekend marks the 40th anniversary of the Scottish Borders Motoring Extravaganza. More than a thousand vehicles took part in the rally and thousands of people turned out to enjoy the event.
