10 stone American bulldog rescued after refusing walkies

Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were faced with an unusual challenge on Monday. They were called out to help a rather large dog that needed rescuing after refusing anymore walkies. The 10 stone American bulldog was on a path at Wastwater with it's owners, when it refused to walk over some loose slippery boulders. The volunteers managed to carry it down and say it was exhausted but despite it's size it was 'friendly and compliant' but are reminding walkers the area, known as the Skrees is difficult terrain whether you have two legs or four.
