Members of the Business Club got together in Hexham to watch the Budget. They gave their reaction to the announcements that will affect them to our Correspondent Hannah Lomas.
Chris Reay who runs Reays Coaches in Cumbria will be affected by the 3p increase in fuel duty. He told ITV News "We're just going to have to deal with it". Elsewhere Brian Manning of Esh Group, a construction firm employing 900 people in the North East was pleased with a potential boost for the building industry "I think that stimulating the construction industry will be good for the economy. But Stephen Winyard from Stobo Castle in the Scottish Borders believes the Budget didn't go far enough to helping more people get back into work. He said "I would have liked to have seen some sort of temporary relief given to employers in respect to National Insurance contributions."
