Hand grenade found at Ipswich Port

An old hand grenade was found at Ipswich Port this morning (2 April).

Police were called to West Bank Terminal, off Wherstead Road, just before 8.30am. An army bomb disposal team detonated the device at around 11am.

The grenade was discovered in some scrap metal.
