Luton schools to spearhead research on effect of air pollution on children's health

Children from Luton and London are taking part in the study to effects of air pollution.

Young people in Luton are taking part in a ground-breaking study which aims to show whether there is a link between air pollution and the health of children.

The £2.5 million research project involving 3,000 primary schoolchildren in Luton and London will also investigate what can be done to prevent damage to growing lungs.

Luton has significant traffic congestion with areas of poor air quality.
