Labour have once again held onto their majority on Cambridge City Council. They re-gained power in 2014 for first time since 1998.
It was run by the Liberal Democrats from 2000 although they lost their overall majority in 2012.
Early turnout figures in the council elections in the Anglia region suggest only a third of voters bothered to cast their ballot.
All the political parties will be weighing up gains and losses in local elections across the Anglia region.
Counting will start at 10pm across the Anglia region in the local council election with results coming through in the early hours of Friday.
