Man suffers burns in Essex after 'noxious liquid' thrown from car

A man in his 30s was left with burns to his chest and thigh after liquid was thrown at him from a passing car in Essex.

The victim was walking along Union Road in Jaywick, close to the Three Jays pub, at about 7pm on Monday March 26.

As a black Vauxhall Corsa approached, a liquid described by police as a "noxious substance" was sprayed from the front passenger window.

The victim said he saw up to four people in the car which drove towards the Frobisher Drive area.
