Bosses at Stansted Airport have apologised to passengers for the major disruption caused by a bus fire on Good Friday.
A statement confirmed the blaze had broken out at 4.20pm outside the main entrance of the terminal building.
It was caused by an electrical fault on the bus and was brought under control within 20 minutes by firefighters. No one was injured.
Stansted cancelled all departures from the Essex airport on Friday night - prompting criticism from passengers who claimed they had not been given enough information.
"As a result, a number of flights were delayed, cancelled or diverted to other UK airports. Our terminal team and additional staff have worked around the clock to provide welfare assistance to those passengers who were affected by the flight cancellations.
"We apologise to those passengers who were affected and can confirm that the airport will be open today (March 31) with all flights expected to operate as normal."
Stansted Airport says it is open and flights should be running normally today following a fire outside the terminal last night (Friday).
