Former Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings has spoken about his experiences with racism.

Mings, who moved to Bournemouth two years ago, spoke about the level of abuse he's received on social media.

His comments on ITV's Good Morning Britain come in the same week Cyrill Regis, who battled years of racial abuse, passed away.

Mings said while his experience was different, more action should be taken to combat online racism.

The spread of it from pitch to social media has allowed it to be more intrusive.

Unless these platforms are taking a more proactive approach, I think it then lies on players, fans, clubs to create the ripple from the bottom so that these social media platforms start to take a notice and do something about it.
