Charles Clarke says Jeremy Corbyn won't be Prime Minister but urges people to vote Labour

The former Norwich MP and Labour Cabinet minister Charles Clarke has told ITV Anglia that he does not think that Jeremy Corbyn with become Prime Minister in the forthcoming General Election.

Mr Clarke, who was a Labour election strategist, told the Anglia Late Edition programme that he did not think that Mr Corbyn would be a "particularly effective Prime Minister."

"I don't think he'd be a particularly effective Prime Minister. I haven't supported him as leader of the party throughout. I don't think Jeremy Corbyn is going to be Prime Minister after this election.

"I will vote Labour in this election and urge people to vote Labour.

"The number of MPs for each party will govern the freedom that Theresa May does or does not have to carry through more and more extreme policies. So that is why I would urge people to vote Labour.
