Police dog Finn returns to front-line after being stabbed in head

A police dog stabbed in the head and chest while on duty in Stevenage is ready to return to the front-line.

PC Dave Wardell and Finn were attempting to arrest a suspected robber when they were attacked.

Finn had to undergo life-saving surgery but just 10 weeks on he is ready to go back to work after passing a series mental and physical tests.

I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather work with than Finn he is absolutely amazing and like I said he gives you 100 percent so to be able to go out with him tomorrow and Wednesday is gonna be phenomenal, regardless of whether we get any results or not. Just having him there by my side again is just gonna be absolutely amazing, I can't wait.
