Fire destroys roof of Essex pub
Emergency crews were called to the Red Lion pub in Great Wakering after the fire broke out in the roof of the building.

The roof of a pub in Essex has been completely destroyed following a fire in the early hours of this morning.
Five emergency crews were called to the the Red Lion Pub in Great Wakering just after 4.30am.
Huge flames were seen coming from the building, as firefighters spent more than two hours putting it out.
One adult and two children suffered smoke inhalation and were treated by the ambulance service.
An investigation to establish the cause of the fire will be carried out.
