Firefighters tackle large blaze at industrial estate near Braintree

Firefighters have been called to a big fire at an industrial estate in Essex.

It broke out on a builder's yard in Earls Colne near Braintree at about 5pm.

The local fire service says wooden pallets, drums of tar and roofing are all alight.

Fire five engines have been sent to the scene and eyewitnesses say the smoke can be seen from several miles away.
