Maiden flight of world's largest aircraft aborted

Technical problems stopped the world's biggest aircraft making its maiden flight this evening.

The Airlander airship has been created at the Cardington Hangars in Bedfordshire.

It was all set for its first flight earlier - with hundreds of people turning out to watch.

Organisers got as far as starting their engines but delays with the take off meant there was not enough light left to do the flight.
