A man has been found guilty of killing and raping a barmaid in Northampton
India Chipchase murderer was already known to police
Police have admitted they were already investigating the man jailed for murdering Northampton barmaid India Chipchase before her murder.
52-year-old Edward Tenniswood is serving a 30 year sentence for her rape and murder.
Northampton Police say they had spoken to Tenniswood about an incident in 2004 - which wasn't reported to them until last year.
It meant that when he was seen with India on CCTV footage they knew who he was and where he lived.
