The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the risk of heavy and thundery downpours in the Anglia region on Sunday.
The weather warning is valid from noon until 9pm on Sunday 12 June 2016
The Met Office says there is the risk of localised flooding and possible disruption to travel.
It says: "Although some areas, perhaps even individual counties, are likely to escape the heaviest rain, some slow-moving, heavy, thundery downpours are again likely to develop across parts of the warning area on Sunday afternoon.
"The showers and thunderstorms should ease from the west during the evening."
"A complex frontal system will maintain relatively warm and humid conditions across much of the area.
"Where sunshine breaks through, rising temperatures will help trigger scattered heavy downpours, with local thunder, and these will be slow-moving, given the light winds.
"15-25 mm of rain could fall locally within an hour, with 30-40 mm possible in the space of 3 to 4 hours.
"Such amounts are likely to cause localised flooding, especially if they affect urban areas, or areas affected by downpours in recent days."
