Police name 7-year-old killed in Harlow bouncy castle tragedy

A seven-year-old girl who died after a bouncy castle she was playing in was blown away in Harlow, has been named by police.

Summer Grant, who was from Braeford Close in Norwich, died after suffering serious injuries whilst playing on it on Saturday afternoon.

She was treated by ambulance crews and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A post-mortem examination established the cause of her death as multiple injuries, Essex Police said in a statement.

A man, 27, and a 24-year-old woman, both from Cambridgeshire and understood to have been working for a family-run bouncy castle firm at the fair, have been arrested by police on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.
