PM: 'I understand how important Lowestoft crossing is'

David Cameron says he understands just how important a new crossing is for Lowestoft after pledging to spend £70 million on the project.

The town has been fighting to get a third crossing over Lake Lothing for more than 70 years.

I've seen with my own eyes during a visit before the election, just how important this is and I think it's really important it goes ahead.

As for Ipswich, we're still looking at that. We're hopeful of making progress but I can't tell you more about that today.

– David Cameron
