Now a young woman from Stalham in Norfolk is encouraging youngsters to join organised groups as an antidote to social isolation and bullying at school.
She's rediscovered the old-fashioned benefits and she's enlisted the help of Fixers - the campaign that gives young people a voice - to make her point.
