Fund set up to help family of injured speedway rider
A fund set up to help the family of Lewis Kerr as he lies in a coma in hospital has reached £2000 in just a few hours.
The popular King's Lynn Stars rider was competing for his loan side Newcastle Diamonds when he suffered head injuries in the crash at Peterborough on Sunday August 2.
His pregnant wife and parents were at the stadium and saw the accident.
Those who've set up the fund say they hope it will take pressure off his family while Lewis recovers. He's in a stable condition at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
