A 19-year-old man charged in connection with the supply of a dangerous batch of illegal drugs has been remanded in custody for his own protection.

Adrian Lubecki will appear at Ipswich crown court on the 15th of January charged with possessing and supplying illegal drugs.

He appeared at Ipswich Magistrates today but didn’t enter a plea or ask for bail. Magistrates referred him to the crown court where his trial will start in May.

It follows the deaths of three men suspected to be linked to a rogue batch of ecstasy.

Justin Ropas and another Lithuanian man died in Ipswich on Christmas Eve, and a third man John Hocking died in Rendlesham on New Years Day.

Adrian Lubeki has been remanded in custody for his own protection. Police are still investigating the deaths.
