Fire crews in Essex dealt with more than 30 flooding incidents in Southend on Friday night after the county was hit by heavy rain.
The Service received more than 100 calls to flooding incidents between 9.30pm and 11.30pm.
Crews were called to flooding in homes and businesses and on the roads.
Three people had to be rescued from the basement of The Cornucopia pub on Marine Parade. A woman and two men were trapped in the cellar of the pub. An ambulance was called for the woman who had suffered a suspected fractured shoulder after falling.
Meanwhile six people were rescued from their cars which were trapped in flood water at the junction of Woodgrange Drive and Thorpe Hall Road.
The Sealife Centre on the Marine Parade was also hit by flooding and the roof of the Pearl Dragon Restaurant collapsed under rain water. No-one was injured.
The Environment Agency is warning of more rain on Saturday.
