Girl, 5, from Bedfordshire returns home after four heart attacks in 45 minutes

A five-year-old girl from Bedfordshire who had four heart attacks in the space of 45 minutes has returned home after six months in hospital.

Ava Mear, from Caddington, had not spent a single night at home since January, after an infection developed into toxic shock which then began to shut down her organs.

Now she is recovering and hoping to be able to get back to school, part-time, in September.
