The region welcomes the first women's cycling tour of Britain.
The first ever Women's Tour of Britain cycle race got underway in Northamptonshire with the town of Oundle playing host to the 'Grand Depart'.
Many of the stars of cycling are competing in the five-day stage race - including Northamptonshire's very own Hannah Barnes and Norfolk's Emma Pooley.
Stage one covered a 58 mile route from Oundle down to the centre of Northampton. The race is back in the county for Stage 2 - another 74 miles ending on the Embankment in Bedford.
Some of the world's best cyclists have been in Suffolk and Essex as part of the historic first Women's Tour.
