A new way of providing cancer services to rural areas has been launched for the Fens. Patients living around the Littleport area in Cambridgeshire, now won't have to travel long distances to Cambridge for treatment.
A new cancer treatment service has been launched in Cambridgeshire, meaning patients will no longer have to travel long distances for chemotherapy and other appointments.
An Oncology suite at the St Georges Medical Centre in Littleport has opened, giving patients in the Isle of Ely, the chance to be treated locally.
All treatment will still be organised by Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge, who will refer patients to Littleport.
