Peter "Snakebite" Wright last night missed out in the final of the Ladbroke's World Darts Championship.
The 43-year-old fought back bravely against Michael van Gerwen after the Dutchman sailed to an early 4-0 lead, but it proved to be too little, too late in the end.
Wright - who lives at Mendham near Harleston - is famous for his colourful hairstyles which are done by his wife Jo.
van Gerwen sealed a 7-4 victory to lift the trophy for the first time in his career at the Alexandra Palace in London.
