Search for gunman after latest Luton shooting

Police are hunting a gunman after a man was shot in the leg following a rush-hour road crash in Luton. The victim, who's 27, is in a serious condition in hospital

The police in the town are currently in the middle of a crackdown on gun crime following a series of shootings this year. Police say there appears to be no connection with this incident and previous shootings.

The gunman is described as a "skinny, 6-foot-tall white man".

Officers and forensic experts are the scene of Dunstable Road and Leicester Road which is closed while a thorough examination of the scene is carried out.
