Luton's council leader Hazel Simmons has condemned the latest shooting in Luton - the tenth this year. Police say a shooting after a car crash in Monday's rush hour appears unconnected with previous shootings in the town.
Hazel Simmons said: “The carrying and use of weapons in Luton will not be tolerated. Weappeal to anyone involved or considering violence to consider how these crimesruin lives and reflect badly on the town that we know and love."
She added: "Luton Borough Council will do everything it can to help the police stamp out this activity and bring those responsible to justice.”
