After a hard fought by-election in Corby, the new MP took his seat in the House of Commons today. Andy Sawford was greeted at Westminster by his party leader Ed Miliband.
Mr Sawford won the marginal seat for Labour following the resignation of Conservative MP Louise Mensch in August.
The by-election follows the resignation of former Tory MP Louise Mensch who stood down in August citing family reasons.
Labour leader Ed Miliband has been campaigning in Corby ahead of the crucial by-election there.
There are fourteen candidates standing in the Corby by-election on 15 November following the resignation of Conservative MP Louise Mensch.
