Film expert helps restore world's oldest colour movie
A film expert from Essex has played a major role in restoring the world's oldest colour film.
Made in 1902 the series of films are the oldest surviving colour film footage there is. The footage has been painstakingly restored by film archivist David Cleveland from Manningtree in Essex.
The film expert was the former founding director of the East Anglian Film Archive.
The films are on display at the National Media Museum and you can find out more about the films here.
