Energy unions Prospect and the GMB have written to Sir Keir Starmer urging him to give the project the green light ahead of the government's investment summit.

The government has announced a subsidy scheme worth up to £5.5bn "to ensure the project has access to the necessary financial support to remain on track".

Under the new administration, there could be changes to some of the biggest projects in the region.
