Anglia Laura Kenny

The cyclist has announced her retirement, following a career which took her from a Hertfordshire club to being a British record-breaker.

The news comes a year after Kenny, 30, suffered an ectopic pregnancy and 14 months after she suffered a miscarriage.

Dame Laura said she would have been left "broken" without the support of her husband, nine-time Olympic medallist Jason Kenny, and their son Albie.
