The first named storm of the autumn, Storm Aileen has brought strong winds and some disruption to the Anglia region.

Winds gusting close to 60mph in the Anglia region
Strong winds up to 60 mph have hit the Anglia region as Storm Aileen breezes across the region.
A gust of 58 mph was recorded at Wittering near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.
The gale force winds are expected to ease during the morning but it will remain blustery.
The highest wind gust recorded in the UK was 83 mph at The Needles off the Isle of Wight.

- 56 mph at Weybourne, Norfolk
- 54 mph at Holbeach, Lincolnshire
- 53 mph at Marham, Norfolk
- 52 mph at Wattisham, Suffolk
Train line blocked by fallen tree
The train service between Witham and Braintree has been suspended because a tree has been blown down.
The tree has damaged the overhead electric wires between Witham and White Notley and all lines are blocked. Greater Anglia says disruption is expected until 8am.
Network Rail engineers are at the location of the tree and will remove the debris as quickly as possible.
Buses are currently replacing trains.
