The funeral for the zookeeper who was killed by a tiger at a Cambridgeshire zoo will take place today.

Rosa King died in what was described as a "freak accident" when she was attacked at Hamerton Zoo near Huntingdon last month.

The zoo, which has been closed since the incident, is due to re-open on Friday.

The tiger involved won't be put down after Rosa's family made it clear they wanted to keep it alive.

The Cambridgeshire Zoo that's been closed since a keeper was killed by a tiger last month is to reopen on Friday.

Hamerton Zoo Park confirmed the news in a tweet this morning. They said that the decision was taken following a an inspection by Huntingdonshire District Council.

Rosa King, died in what was described as a "freak accident" when a tiger attacked her.

The decision to reopen has been supported by her family. They also agreed that the tiger involved should not be put down.

Rosa King's funeral takes place in the Westcountry tomorrow.
