A 26-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of Luton mother Saima Khan.

The 34-year-old was found dead in a property on Overstone Road on Monday 23 May.

Sabah Khan, who is 26, and also from Overstone Road was arrested yesterday and has now been charged with her murder.

She has been remanded in custody pending an appearance at Luton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.

Police have been given more time to question a 26-year-old woman who's been arrested on suspicion of murdering a mother-of-four at her Luton home.

Saima Khan was stabbed to death during a burglary at her home in Overstone Road last Monday night.

Officers arrested the woman on Tuesday morning and remains in police custody for a further 12 hours.

A team of specialist officers are continuing to investigate the murder and have pleaded for anyone who may know something to get in touch.

Police are continuing to investigate the murder of mother-of four Saima Khan in Luton.

A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with her murder, and will remain in custody until tomorrow morning.

Saima Khan was found in a pool of blood at her house in Overstone Road on Monday.

Her four children, all below the age of seven were believed to be in the house at the time of her death. With permission from Saima's husband, they have been taken into the care of an Asian family.

Today, Bedfordshire police revealed they have not been following lines that Saima was the victim of burglars who broke into her home.

A 26-year-old woman from Luton has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Saima Khan.

The 34-year-old mother-of-four was stabbed to death during a burglary at her home in Overstone Road last Monday night.

Officers arrested a woman shortly before 9am this morning. She is currently in police custody.

A team of specialist officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit are continue to investigate the murder and have pleaded for anyone who may know something to get in touch.

The company where murdered mum-of-four Saima Khan worked has paid tribute to her.

Allied Healthcare is deeply saddened by today’s news regarding the death of its care worker, Saima Khan, who worked in its Luton branch.

Saima had worked at Allied Healthcare for 6 years and was specifically trained to deliver care to older, vulnerable adults. The company will be working closely with her customers and colleagues to support them through this difficult time.

Luton murder: Shopkeeper admits community are 'frightened'

A Luton shopkeeper admits the local community are "frightened" after a woman was killed in the town earlier this week.

The woman, named locally as 34-year-old care worker Saima Kahn, was discovered on Monday.

Neighbours think she may have been the victim of a robbery that went wrong.

Local shopkeeper Nazam Iqbal says people are scared and want the police to catch those responsible quickly.

The women especially are frightened at the moment.

There has been a few robberies around this area.

People are concerned around the whole area and we're hoping that the police get to the bottom of it as soon as possible.

Police forensics experts have been examining a car belonging to a mum of four who was murdered in Luton earlier this week.

Saima Khan has been named locally as the victim. She was found in a pool of blood at her house in Overstone Road on Monday.

It's believed she was killed during a 'botched robbery'.
