Police have confirmed that a body found in a wood in Hertfordshire over the weekend is that of missing Milton Keynes woman Natalie Hemming.

The mother of three was last seen three weeks ago.

A body was discovered by a member of the public at Toms Hill in Chandlers Cross on Sunday.

A post mortem finished today but the cause of death hasn't been confirmed yet.

Neighbours 'horrified' after woman's body found in woods

Residents of a Hertfordshire village have been speaking of their shock after a woman's body was found in woodland yesterday.

The body was discovered by a member of the public at Toms Hill in Chandlers Cross.

Formal identification hasn't taken place yet, but police have informed the family of missing Milton Keynes woman Natalie Hemming.

A police tent has been put up in woodland in Hertfordshire where the body of a woman was found yesterday.

The body was discovered at Toms Hill in Chandlers Cross.

Police haven't identified the body yet, but the family of missing Natalie Hemming from Milton Keynes have been informed.

The family of a missing woman from Milton Keynes has been told a body has been found in a wood in Hertfordshire.

31-year-old Natalie Hemming hasn't been seen for three weeks after going missing from her home in Newton Leys, Milton Keynes.

Her partner Paul Hemming, 42, has appeared in court charged with her murder.

A member of the public called the police after finding the body of a woman in woodland at Toms Hill, Chandlers Cross at 11am on Sunday.

Thames Valley Police said the identity of the woman is unknown, and formal identification processes will have to be undertaken, but Natalie's family has been informed.

Red rug may be vital clue in hunt for missing Natalie

Police trying to find the body of a mother of three from Milton Keynes, who they believe has been murdered, today/Thursday said they were looking for a red rug.

The missing rug

The rug is missing from the front room of Natalie Hemming's home in Alderney Avenue, Newton Leys, Milton Keynes. It is described as being 12ft x 10ft, with a three-inch soft pile.

Thames Valley police want to hear from anyone who has seen the rug dumped, being transported or being discarded.

They have also expanded the search area to Aylesbury, Oxfordshire and the south Bedfordshire border.

The 31-year-old mother of three, was last seen shortly after 4pm on Sunday, May 1 in Hemel Hempstead, where she went to visit her mother.

On Wednesday specialist search officers scoured an area around Salden Wood near Newton Longville, Bucks and a disused rail line, which are near the family home on the edge of Milton Keynes.

Her partner Paul Hemming, 42, has appeared in court charged with her murder.

Man charged with murdering missing mother-of-three

A 42-year-old man has been charged with murdering Natalie Hemming - a mother of three from Milton Keynes, who has been missing for four days.

Paul Hemming, of Alderney Avenue, Newton Leys, Milton Keynes, was charged with murder on Friday evening.

He was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of murder and appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court today. He was remanded in custody to appear at Luton Crown Court on Monday.

Natalie Hemming, 31, was reported missing from her home in Newton Leys by a relative on Tuesday.

Mother feared murdered - police want to trace car

Police trying to find a mother-of-three from Milton Keynes, who it is feared has been murdered, today appealed for sightings of a car.

Natalie Hemming, aged 31, was last seen at 4pm on Sunday afternoon when she was visiting her mother in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.

The officer administrator, who lives with her husband and three children in Alderney Avenue, was reported missing to the police by a relative shortly after 4pm on Tuesday.

A 42-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of murder.

We are extremely concerned. Natalie hasn't been in contact with her children or her family.

She has not turned up at work.

Officers are trying to trace the movements of a black Ford S Max - registration EJ12 UWG - between a quarter to ten on Sunday night into the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday.

The car travelled towards Aylesbury on the A413, then south of Aylesbury on the A41 an then back towards Milton Keynes on the A418.

Officers were on guard outside the family's L-shaped four bed house today.

Police searching for a missing woman from Milton Keynes have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Natalie Hemming, who's 31, was last seen in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire on Sunday. Detectives say her disappearance is out of character.

Natalie is white, around 5ft 3ins, of slim build, with shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a blue top, blue jeans and a short black jacket.

A 42-year-old man, also from Milton Keynes, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the investigation. He's currently being held in custody.

Our priority is to find Natalie and return her to her family as soon as possible.

We would like to speak to anyone who has any information about where Natalie may be or anyone who has seen her since 3pm on Sunday.
