Inquest into death of Paris victim Nick Alexander begins
An inquest begins today - May 19 - into the death of Nick Alexander from Weeley near Colchester who was shot during the Paris attacks last year.
Nick, who was 35, was killed along with 88 others at the Bataclan theatre in November, where he'd been selling merchandise for the band Eagles of Death Metal.
Essex recording studio opens up to raise funds for victims of Paris attacks
Artists from all over the world are recording a song to help raise money in memory of those who died in the Paris attacks, including Nick Alexander from Essex.
Nick was killed during an Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan in Paris in November 2015. The band is donating all money raised from sales of people covering their song I Love You All The Time.
A series of coordinated attacks in the French capital claimed the lives of 130 people.
Now Nick's college friend - a record producer from Colchester - is opening up his recording studio so bands can record the song for free.

Hundreds turn up for special concert in memory of Paris victim Nick Alexander
More than 400 people turned out at Colchester Arts centre last night for a tribute evening for Nick Alexander - the British victim of the Paris terrorist attacks.
He went to school in the town and worked at the Arts Centre.
Close friends joined a DJ in celebration of his life. Find below is our full report.
Funeral for British victim of Paris attacks
The funeral of a man from Essex who was killed in last month's terrorist attacks in Paris has taken place this lunchtime.
Mourners turned out in their droves at St Andrew's Church in Weeley to pay their final respects to Nick Alexander.
He was selling t-shirts at the Eagles Of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan when the venue was stormed by terrorists.
A memorial fund set up in his honour has now raised £70,000.

Memorial fund for Paris attack victim reaches £70,000
A memorial fund set up in honour of the Eagles Of Death Metal merchandise seller killed during terror attacks in Paris has reached £70,000.
Nick Alexander from Colchester in Essex was one of 118 people who lost their lives during the band’s gig at the Bataclan theatre.
Six days ago Nick’s sister Zoe wrote on the memorial page.
“We, Nick's family, are truly overwhelmed by the unbelievable support we have been shown from across the world. We knew Nick had a lot of friends and had touched a lot of lives but we had no idea quite how many. To see donations from people who never met Nick but have been touched by his story alongside those from friends and colleagues in the music world is unbelievably touching and we cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support.“
The money is being used to cover his funeral and memorial costs and the remainder will be held in the charitable trust his family are setting up in Nick’s name.
Parents of Paris attack victim attend memorial service
The parents of Nick Alexander - the only British victim of the Paris terror attacks - attended a moving memorial service in the French capital today.
The 35-year-old's name was among 130 read out during the service to remember those killed on November 13th.
The poignant event was attended by French president Francois Hollande, friends and family of the victims, and some of the many people seriously injured in the co-ordinated shootings and bombings.
It comes on the day the inquest into the death of Nick was opened and adjourned in Chelmsford.

Candles have been lit at an church in Essex in memory of a man killed in the Paris terror attacks.
Friends and relatives of Nick Alexander also signed a book of condolence at Weeley Church.
Nick, who was 36, was shot when the Bataclan concert hall was stormed by terrorists eight days ago.
More than 130 people lost their lives in the attacks.
