Ipswich rated as third happiest place to live in the UK

Ipswich is celebrating a real feather in its cap.

It's today been rated the third happiest place in the country to live.

This was in a survey carried out by the property website 'Rightmove' and included factors like feeling safe in the community and friendliness of neighbours.

Among those visiting the town's Christchurch Park today was Lorna Williamson-Brown and her four-year-old daughter Amber.

"It's a good place to live and I think people are generally pretty happy with their life," said Lorna. "It's certainly a good and safe place for children."

Ipswich was rated behind Harrogate and Shrewsbury.

Cambridge was ranked 34th, Norwich 37th and Peterborough 93rd.

In wasn't such good news for Luton, which was ranked as the 8th unhappiest place to live.
