Bedfordshire: Woman arrested on suspicion of terror offences released on bail

A 25-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of terror offences linked to Syria has been released on bail.

The woman was detained yesterday in Bedfordshire by officers from Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts.

She has been bailed to return on a date in early February pending further inquiries, Scotland Yard said.

A 32-year-old man was also held in London yesterday on suspicion of attending a place used for terrorist training and remains in custody.

Police have been searching two addresses in Bedfordshire, and addresses in west London and south west London as part of their probe.

The arrests are the latest in a string of police raids on people living in Britain suspected of terror offences linked to the bloody conflict in Syria.
