Police in Cambridgeshire are linking the murders of three men in the Peterborough area. One was found stabbed on Easter Saturday in Newborough and two more were found at nearby Thorney on Wednesday.

Police investigating the murders of two men whose bodies were discovered in Thorney are appealing for information.

John Chapman, 56, of Bifield, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, and Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, from Peterborough, were discovered at Thorney Dyke on Wednesday, April 3.

Post mortems revealed the men died as a result of stab wounds.

Their deaths are being linked to the murder of 48-year-old Kevin Lee whose body was discovered in Newborough on Saturday, March 30.

Officers are working to establish when the two men were last seen alive.

Six people have so far been arrested in connection with the investigation.

TRIBUTES have been paid to two murdered men whose bodies were discovered in Thorney last week.

John Chapman, 56, of Bifield, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, and Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, from Peterborough, were discovered at Thorney Dyke on Wednesday.

They died from stab wounds. Their deaths are being linked to the murder of 48-year-old Kevin Lee whose body was discovered in nearby Newborough on March 30.

The family of Mr Chapman have released the following statement:

"We are all so upset and shocked by the tragic loss of John.

"He was a loving brother, brother in law and uncle. He was much loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all his friends and family.

Mr Slaboszewski's sister, Magda Skrzypczak said: "Lukasz was the joker in the family, always finding something to laugh about.

"His mum and dad are devastated by their loss and he also leaves two grieving sisters."

Five people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mr Lee.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with perverting the course of justice and will appear at Peterborough Crown Court on Wednesday (April 10).

Two men, aged 23 and 32, are currently on bail.

A 47-year-old man arrested in Hereford last week was questioned about the murders over the weekend.

A 30-year-old woman also arrested in Hereford has been detained under the Mental Health Act.

Tributes paid to victims in triple murder investigation

A picture has begun to emerge of the victims and the thread of connections that lie at the heart of a triple murder investigation.

Police have named the two men whose bodies were found in a drainage dyke near Peterborough on Wednesday - and one of them turns out to have been a tenant of the first man to be found murdered.

He was Kevin Lee, a builder, landlord and former gangmaster who was stabbed to death. His body was found last Saturday. Police have been searching some of his properties and have spoken to a number of his tenants.
