World War Two rocket recovered from harbour
Royal Navy divers have managed to recover a World War Two rocket from the harbour at Harwich. The V2 rocket was fired at England from Germany but this one's highly explosive warhead was no longer attached.
No warhead attached to V2 rocket
The Royal Navy bomb disposal unit has confirmed that there is no warhead attached to the V2 rocket, which is now safe to remove from water. Experts are waiting until high tide to bring the weapon into shore.
Harwich Yacht Club is hoping to keep the rocket as a souvenir.

Memories of V2 bomb first dropped in 1944
Reuban Day on the left says he remembers when the V2 was dropped on 4 October 1944, he was 15 at the time and had to take the police out to inspect it the day afterwards.
Awareness of V2 bomb raised before
Robert Day commodore of harwich and Dovercourt sailing club says they have raised the fact that there was a V2 in the seabed many times since it was dropped in 1944 but only now have they decided to act.
