Cambridgeshire couple create life-size nativity out of Lego blocks in latest ambitious creation
A Lego-loving couple have spent hundreds of hours creating a life-sized nativity scene in their front room.
Catherine Weightman and Mike Addis have been creating eye-catching models since first starting to play with the bricks with their children.
But the couple's designs have become increasingly ambitious - with this year's creation featuring almost half a million blocks.
It includes a stable, Mary, Joseph, a donkey, two turkeys and a baby Jesus.
Ms Weightman said: "We started nearly 30 years ago and it's just one of those things that get bigger and bigger each year. We've accumulated more and more lego. It's a good winter hobby."
Past creations have included a 21ft replica of the old London Bridge, a life-size polar bear and an enormous Victoria dolls house.
"We're always looking for new ideas so it's quite difficult after 30 years to get some thing different," said Mr Addis. "This is the first time we've tried a nativity scene proper."
While the couple's children have now grown up, they have a new generation of Lego lovers to keep entertained in the form of their granddaughter Nora.
