Essex fire crews tackle blaze involving multiple caravans
Fire crews fought a large blaze involving multiple caravans and a shed on the Essex-Hertforshire border.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a shed on fire in Epping Road, Roydon on Friday evening.
On arrival, crews from Harlow faced a much larger incident with two caravan and several fence panels alight, which quickly spread to additional caravans.
Due to the size of the fire, additional crews were called from across Essex and Hertfordshire.
Harlow Fire Station's Watch Manager Brendan Cardy said: "Crews worked tirelessly in challenging circumstances to bring the fire under control. I'd like to thank our colleagues from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service for their assistance with the water relay."
The fire was extinguished in two hours and no one was injured.
All the caravans were destroyed or damaged in the fire and a fire investigation will take place.
