Norfolk Police have closed several roads in the city centre after a suspected unexploded device was found.

Bomb disposal experts were called today after the discovery of a suspected unexploded device in a city centre.Police closed several roads around Ketts Hill, Riverside Road and Gas Hill in Norwich, Norfolk while waiting for specialist teams to arrive and investigate.

The device was found in the city's River Wensum.

Norfolk Police are urged members of the public to avoid the area while investigations were carried out.

Bomb experts have made safe the device and the roads reopened just before 4pm.
