Fire at Southend United ground Roots Hall

A fire has broken out at Southend United's ground Roots Hall.

Smoke was seen rising near to the South Stand at the club, who were relegated from the Football League earlier this year.

Chief sports reporter at the Southend Echo Chris Phillips said it looks like the first is coming from the astroturf pitches.

Fire crews from Essex are in attendance.
