Top cop strikes again as he stops another speeding motorist
Proving the old adage that you never really lose your edge, the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire has been at it again - by catching another speeding motorist.
Nick Adderley was driving when he saw a fellow motorist not exactly obeying the speed limit.
He spotted the driver travelling at around 85mph in a 40mph zone. The driver further compounded his error by attempting to outrun the county's top police officer.
Mr Adderley described the encounter in a tweet, warning that high speeds risked lives:
Of course it's not the first time that Mr Adderley has turned traffic cop.
Last April we reported how he found himself arresting another driver, this one doing more than 100mph.
Northamptonshire is of course famous for hosting exceptionally fast drivers, but the Chief Constable would prefer that the only excessive speeds he sees in the county are recorded by Lewis Hamilton and friends on the track at Silverstone.
