At least three fire crews attended a fire at Ipswich Marina on Thursday.

The blaze, said to be 5x15m, is located at the gravel washing plant on the West Bank Terminal of the Marina.

Suffolk Fire crews were called at 11.22am - they say "potentially hazardous cylinders" at the plant led them to evacuate the site.

The cylinders have now been removed, but the site of the fire remains evacuated.

Electricity has been isolated on the site and a fire service spokesperson says good progress has been made in fighting the fire.
